My name is Layla Najia, 24 years old, a member of a big family: 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Im a Palestinian – Lebanese born in Spain 2 months before I was due: my parents were in Marbella for a vacation relaxing until i decided to pop out in a beautiful hot rainy night, which perhaps explains why I adore rainy weather. My family Lived in Kuwait until the Iraqis decided to invade it. It was a short 7 month war but it changed the direction of our lives forever. During the Gulf War we immigrated to Jordan, I was 11, and been living in Jordan ever since.
I’m passionate about the things that interest me: Music, my family and Friends. I enjoy observing people, mingling, racing, rain, chocolate, vanilla latte, dancing, meeting people while traveling. I am obsessed with the Internet, Business news, reading, writing, blogs, the sun, the ocean, laughter, big dogs, steak, seafood, and sushi!! I listen to all kinds of music, some are made in the mid sixties to early seventies like The Verve, The Who, The Beatles, that sort of thing. I also listen to music like Ben Fold, Cold Play, David Gray, Snow Patrol, The Scorpions, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Buddha Bar, Maria Mena. And of course, I also love a good Dance/Trance beat.
I used to read voraciously and collect books as well, but they were mainly stories and novels. Now I only read articles/blogs/discussion forums that interest me, only in specific genres like Business news, social issues, nutrition , travel stories and biographies.
I’m passionate about my profession(s), even though I don’t see myself fixed in a particular career path yet, but I know im passionate about Media, Public Relations and Advertising, and more and more my interests have moved towards education, I keep thinking of setting up my own idea of a school from scratch, one day.
